We met Lauren & Steven back last year at the Excel Wedding Show, the show was quite a manic experience(!) so we didn’t really get to chat properly to any of our couples, so it was lovely to meet up with them again in more relaxed conditions! We combined our meeting with their pre-wedding shoot too, so it was a really invaluable session.
I had such fun at this meeting, and found out so much about Lauren & Steven, they just kept revealing interesting things about themselves and how they are bringing that to their wedding. I’m really excited to photograph the wedding, as Steven is bringing his family’s cultural traditions and they are both brining their love for movies and wrestling to their day. We’re going to have to be on our toes for sure!
I love doing these sessions and meeting up with our clients, I love working with people, and chatting, finding out people’s stories, their history as a couple and what makes them smile. There is so much doom and gloom to be easily found in this world, that it is a real highlight in my week to meet lovely people that are in one of the most exciting periods of their lives, and to hear them talk passionately about their wedding day and each other is just tonic for the soul and meeting Lauren and Steven was no exception.
I think I can confidently say that they were the first couple to bring printed t-shirts and props to our shoot! They have such a fun, relaxed vibe and didn’t stop smiling and laughing the whole way through the session, I had such a giggle with them and can’t wait to see them on their wedding day!
Lauren & Steven are due to get married at Gilwell Park in Chingford this year.
