At the end of May I met Jodie & Jack over at Hylands Park in Chelmsford for their pre-wedding shoot. We were able to meet at sunset, and it didn't disappoint. The lighting was just beautiful.
I met Jodie & Jack at a wedding fayre at Rivenhall Oaks a while back, and I was delighted they asked me to shoot their wedding for them, they are such a lovely couple, I can't wait to document it for them in August this year! As part of their wedding collection they get the chance to have a pre-wedding shoot, and I'm so glad about this, as it was such a lovely afternoon, and I think they got a lot from it, as well as a lovely set of photographs. Read more here about why I believe a pre-wedding shoot is so important.
As always these sessions are quite relaxed, we just walk, talk and take a few shots. I try to find somewhere relatively private, as I'm conscious often my couple's can be a bit shy to start off with. Although a very popular spot, Hylands Park is so great, as its so large, you can just loose yourself over there and at the end of the day there are just normally a few dog walkers! It takes about an hour, and is a great chance for my couples to relax and take a nice walk together, and I love getting to know them a bit better too. I also took my off-camera flash set up this time, and had a play with that too, and I'm really pleased with the results.
These photographs are not only a lovely memory of a special time, but they can be used for many things too - a wedding day signing album or frame, for your guests to sign; a print(s) for your home; save the date cards; wedding table number photographs; decoration for the wedding day (part of a photo wall)...
