Erica & Michael, Thorpeness Country Club, Suffolk

Back in May 2019 we had the honour of shooting the lovely Erica & Michael's wedding at Thorpeness Country Club, Suffolk. We were very lucky with the weather too, it was a beautifully warm, blue-sky kind of day.

They had hired local holiday accommodation for the weekend as their base, for before and after the wedding. It was so conveniently close to the venue the groom and his party could walk to the venue! It is here that we joined our couple at their respective lodges on the morning of the wedding, to cover the preparations of both parties. The morning was wonderfully relaxed, as Erica had it all pre-planned (I do love an organised bride!).

The flowers by Triangle Nursery arrived in good time, and looked amazing. Erica's dress was from Barn Bridal Boutique, and she looked stunning, I particularly lover her delicate lace cover up. Hair was provided by Blush Studio Colchester and Erica's hair and the bridesmaids' hair looked stunning. The bridesmaids' dresses were also such a pretty colour, and really suited the beautiful bridesmaids, they were from JJ's House.

The wedding venue had a really relaxed vibe and was intimate but still felt spacious and had amazing views over the seafront. Lorraine the co-ordinator was also super helpful and knowledgeable. Erica chose to travel to the venue in her uncle's Jaguar, his pride and joy! She met Michael and his best man at the alter, walking down the aisle to the sound of a harpist. Their civil ceremony featured some readings from family and friends and was followed by a drinks reception on the terraces over-looking the beach - perfect.

We obviously had to take advantage of the beach at Thorpeness and the glorious weather, so off we ventured down to the beach to carry out the newly-wed's photographs. It was certainly worth the sandy toes! The simplicity of mother nature delivered in spades that day. The yellows of the pebbles, mixed with the blues from the sky created some really striking images for Erica and Michael.

We loved Thorpeness so much it is such a pretty coastal village, and the Country Club did a great job of delivering a day that Erica and Michael will never forget.
